Back on the Bus

Its fantastic to be back on the buses this week...oh wait now, no its not...

(betcha that was a sarcastic surprise!)

I'm waiting at the bus stop and im waiting, waiting...........waiting......

Ah, my bus.........goes past full...........it starts raining.

So there you have it. The bus service yet again excelling itself in its ability to gauge the demand.

I along with 15 others are left waiting 15 minutes in the rain. Thank you.

My own little world

+ I was on time, the bus was on time, it was reasonably empty and everything seemed great.

- A girl sat down beside me (on my leg) opened a book and proceeded to elbow me in the side repeatedly

- I decided to close my eyes, had my headphones in and sunglasses on and my hand protecting me from being annoyingly elbow-tickled. "Excuse me miss, miss, hello, hello?" Bus ticket inspector. Disturbed me. Walked away. Came back. Didn't even stamp the ticket. They are completely useless and a waste of money.

one plus and two negatives...bad bus day...

That kinda face

I've decided that I must just be one of those people with that kind of face...

1. I went into the best coffee shop in Dublin this morning and asked for a white coffee and was surprised that it cost me €3 - the same as a cappachino in the same place. oh well i couldn't be arsed arguing so if it's as nice as the cappachino i'll be happy...
The guy making the coffee said something so i just said "yep, white coffee, white coffee, yes white coffee" (In a loud enviornment I have a tendancy to repeat things before I'm asked to) "Flat white? or white coffee?" he asks me...my confused face at this point must have worked better than my "fuck off face" of late... "By a white coffee I mean an americano with milk or do you want a flat white" eh...wha...? I'm used to just the option of tea or coffee, as much as I love my coffee I really don't know the difference between this bean, that bean or the other... So he made me a flat white saying that if i usually take one sugar that this would be sweet enough do go without - then he asked me to taste it cause if I didn't like it that he would make me another...It was lovely...Now I'll feel like a right conniseur next time i go get coffee - yay!!

2. On the bus two elderly (in comparisson to me) people were having a chat and they just brought me into it, about radio, betting and getting to right place in town on a bus (obviously not my forte)

I just must have that - "She won't mind" face...

I guess it's better than the time i was told i had mastered the "Do not go anywhere near me, fuck off and leave me alone" face

Whoops

In my wisdom, I decided to take the private bus a little further than usual to see would it drop me near my stop. It doesn't.

Had to wander around trying to find where I was for a while, but then i luckily found a bus to bring me to where I was going.

Ah, sometimes they are a saving grace.

I should have posted more recently on the following but i'm sure they will happen again

Free journy- the ticket validator didn't work!
Man fell asleep and was snoring really loudly - very hard time to stop myself laughing
I saw a young fella grafitti a bus window with a very professional marker, was looking forward to something entertaining or at least artistic - no luck - only a scribble (or i presume signature of some sort) disappointing really
Two buses a day - its really starting to hurt

Last Stop

Almost at the last stop, just over O'Connell bridge then im there, its howling wind and i don't facny standing outside but sure, it'll be grand.

"Last stop there now, last stop" comes over the PA system. Eh, last stop? No, it's not. So in the usual fashion everyone gets up to get off the bus. I'm last off. "What happened to the last stop being D'Olier street?" I pose my question in a poilite manner. "Not today, I have to drop this back to the garage so it's easier to just pull left down O'Connell street than go around," says Mr.Bus Driver. "So it's just for your convienience?" "Yeah," he says, looking at me as if i'm crazy for questioning "Sure you only have to walk across the bridge."

It's lucky my blisters have cleared up, i'm not an old lady and I didn't really care about being late for work. It took me five minutes to cross the bridge because of the sequence of traffic lights giving preferance to cars, during which time another bus blocked my view of the pedestrian lights.

The Bus

So I wondered for a time what i would actually write in a Blog. I set one up, posted once and forgot about it...

Good Start.

Who would want to read what I have to say?

I've decided nobody...so I will use this lovely little space to give out about my biggest grievance, the bus....more to follow...!!!
